Dates in History
1904—The beginning of Russian-Japanese War
After Japanese attack and siege of Russian Port-Arthur the war was officially unleashed.

1881—Kliment Voroshilov, marshal of the USSR, is born.
Voroshilov is a Hero of the Civil War, twice Hero of the Soviet Union. After Stalins death becomes the Chairman of the Presidium of the Higher Soviet of the USSR.

1498—Coronation of a grandson of Ivan III takes place in the Assumption Cathedral in Kremlin.
It is the first time when during the inauguration the famous Crown of Monomakh is placed on the head of a new tsar, and all the ancient relics are handed to the new tsar as well. Also during this inauguration metropolitan Simon, who conducts the ceremony, calls Ivan III tsar Ivan, Great Prince of all Russia, autocrat, thus marking the beginning of over 4 centuries of Russian autocracy.
